Kantara Castle, Cyprus

Kiosk 45: Kantara Castle. Men and women's convenience that contains... well, you can guess what it contains.

A stunning (in every sense of the word) duplex porta-loo overlooking the impressive scenery near the easternmost of the three castles situated on the Kyrenia mountain range in northern Cyprus. At 630 metres above sea level, these toilets can see Turkey on one side and Syria on the other. While it is suspected that the Byzantines built nearby Kantara Castle in the 10th century, it is probable the kiosk was placed at the site at a much later date.

According to Wikipedia, the name "Kantara" is believed to derive from the Arabic word "qantara," which means a small bridge. Whereas the word khazi is Cockney for shithouse.
